Sue Grafton’s alphabetic detective series about Kinsey Milhone, PI, have always appealed to me – they are light, funny, full of twists and turns, and just serious enough to seem like reading a “real book” as vs. just a quickie. It is heartening to see she struggles with writing also – and that she experiences that shining joy that happens when it goes well.
