The Horror of Love by Lisa Hilton is another book that describes the famous Mitford Family, especially Nancy. It is unbelievable how intertwined the Mitfords were in so many situations and relationships around World War II. I find the discussion of the era, and the power of this diverse family, fascinating.
This book reads like a novel and it’s the sort of read that calls you back to read just one more page. Gives you a glance behind the screen and, like Paris 1919, gives you a view of how very few people controlled the world in those days (and probably these)
