My New Brunswick mom (Avondale, 1907) talked her whole life about relatives who died of tuberculosis in the late 1880s. One sad story was about her grandma losing a 26 year old son Leo to the disease. I have a handwritten poem done for that son by his father for his 15th birthday, dated Nov. 20,
    1902, and it’s a special keepsake.

Thanks for this reminder, Dorothyanne. ❤️
